You are required to create a simple model of an asynchronous (or induction) motor to be used by
engineers working on machine design. The engineers will use your model to simulate the performance
of the motor before building it. The model will allow modelling various types of induction motor with
different ratings, so no specific values are provided. As a designer, you will make choices to develop a
model that emulates a real motor operation and the connection to the grid, to allow to test the model.
Model requirements:
The model will need to include:

• A three-phase voltage source
• An induction motor connected in series – the input to the motor must be the mechanical
  speed, and the reference should be ‘synchronous mode’. You can choose any set motor type.
• The rotational speed is an input, that you need to choose based on the motor type you
  adopted. The speed must be chosen in such a way to result in an acceptable value of slip
  (according to what explained in class)
